"Agora" is the latest art project by the artist, Taf [Tafadzwa Mukwashi]. Agora is the complement to Facing a Century, and both art projects are tributes to the Prince of Pop Art, Andy Warhol. Pop Art is an art movement which unashamedly shatters the divide between the commercial arts and fine arts. The word, 'agora', is defined as an assembly place, especially a marketplace in ancient Greece. "Agora" is all about capturing the brands and companies that we have grown to love here in South Africa on canvas. Everything can be art, and art can be found in everything - we just have to see it…and then Pop Art it.
