"Justice for All"
Series of Events and Art Auction
Goethe Institute, Johannesburg, RSA

The Legal Resources Centre is commemorating its 30th anniversary with a series of events which will honour Dr Albertina Sisulu, Lady Felicia Kentridge and which will include an art auction to raise funds for the ongoing work of the LRC.

"Justice for All" will not only include an auction of donated artworks and signed copies of books from South Africa's most prominent artists and authors such as William Kentridge, Nadine Gordimer, Nelson Mandela and George Bizos to name just a few, but also discussions on the law in South Africa. All the donated works will be exhibited at the Goethe Institute for the duration of the week, at which time bids will be accepted through an international secure auction website. All proceeds from the auction are to go to the LRC

Taf (Tafadzwa Mukwashi) is also a participating artist, with "Behind the Basketing Truck" up for auction.

The Pretoria Art Museum, in collaboration with the Development Bank of Southern Africa, is holding the exhibition "Contemporary Visions of Southern Africa" presented by visual artists from Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, and hosted under the patronage of the South African National Association for the Visual Arts (SANAVA) (member of the International Association of Art).

"Behind the Basketing Truck" and "Gutted" by taf, artist will be on display alongside artworks of various media by other emerging and established visual artists.

The exhibition runs from the 3rd of November till the 22nd of December 2007 at the Pretoria Art Museum.
