PAINTINGS - BOY MILKING COW

back painting - boy milking cow
boy milking cow
oil pastel on fine white grain paper
420mm x 594mm

Growing up in Africa without that metal cup and plate just does not seem right. The way the paint peels off, the way those things just last and last until that tiny hole in the bottom developes and your milk leaks out, is something that has Africa written all over it. In this painting the herdboy takes a break to get himself a cup of milk.
