We can never underestimate the determination of the daughters of Africa and we should applaud them for it. With many households being led by children barely into their adolescence themselves, the courage displayed by these young adults ( as that is what they become ) is something to be taken note of. This painting, again with the metal plate characteristic of Southern Africa and familiar to those who have lived here, is a depiction of the resoluteness of one such child. |
