The 16th portrait of Facing a Century is of Justin Stanford. This Pop Art triptych by the artist Taf [Tafadzwa Mukwashi] is a textured oil painting in lamp black, grey and white, over three individual box canvasses.
Justin Stanford is, at the age of just 28, one of South Africa’s leading entrepreneurs and venture investors. He is the co-founder and CEO of 4D Innovations Group (4DI Group), an investment holding company based in Cape Town, South Africa, comprising various brands, subsidiary companies and investments.
Stanford’s first business was selling apple juice to his classmates when he was 13. The textbook guide to life was not for him and he became a high-school drop. His first two business endeavours after that failed but this did not deter him in any way. He continued to fight on and that perseverance and resolve led to him becoming the entrepreneurial giant he is today.
Justin Stanford believes South Africa has the potential to become a leading technology innovation hub. He is the co-founder of the Silicon Cape Initiative , a non-profit, community owned & driven movement for entrepreneurs, geeks, venture capitalists, angel investors, marketers and other professionals in the IT industry.
Justin has a love for high-performance cars, boating, and music (he even has his own record label, JMR Records).
Thank you, Justin Stanford, for adding your trail to the Facing a Century!
